Hi! I'm Christina, and welcome to ChriskaYoga! In today's video, I am sharing a 20 Minute Yoga Stretch to release the muscles in your pelvic floor.
Your pelvic floor muscles protect your pelvic organs and they align the entire bottom of your pelvis. Sometimes they can get extremely tight and cause discomfort. In this yoga routine, we will be stretching those muscles in order to release them and reduce tension in that area.
Ladies, this is also a great routine to do during your period since there tends to be a lot of tension in that particular area during this time in our cycle.
For this class, you will need a yoga bolster (sub w/ a bed pillow, or buy it here) and potentially yoga blocks (sub w/ thick books, or buy them here)
During this class, we will be moving through hip joint mobilization, half happy baby, happy baby, hugging knees in (apanasana), child's pose (balasana), low lunge, lizard pose, and a supported supine bound angle pose (supta badda konasana).
