Hi! I'm Christina, and welcome to ChriskaYoga! Today I'm sharing a 30 minute hatha yoga stretch for runners. We'll be stretching the legs, low back, and a bit of the shoulders and neck.
Runners often have problems with tight IT bands, quads, and hamstrings, which can cause knee joint and low back pain among other issues.
This 30 minute yoga stretch with savasana at the end will help to stretch out the areas of the body that normally get tight when running and activating the para sympathetic nervous system in your body, which will aid with muscle recovery and overall health.
For this class, you will need a yoga strap (sub w/ a belt or get one here).
