Hi! I'm Christina, and welcome to ChriskaYoga! This is a full length 45 minute Yin and Vinyasa Yoga Fusion class specifically dedicated to the hips.
For this class, you will need 1 yoga block (sub w/ a thick book, or buy it here) and a yoga blanket (sub w/ a thick towel, or buy it here).
For this hip opening yoga class, we will be warming the body up slowly with some gentle stretches and vinyasa flow movement, and then we will be moving into some deep hip stretches with several yin poses where we will hold them for quite some time.
In this class, we'll be moving through easy pose (sukhasana), forward fold, child's pose (balasana), twist, cat and cow, downward facing dog (adho mukha svanasana), sun breaths, sun salutation a (surya namaskara a), sun salutation b (surya namaskara b) with high lunge (crescent lunge), low lunge (lizard pose), pigeon pose, butterfly pose (baddha konasana), straddle (upavista konasana), windshield wipers for a counter pose, and savasana with a rolled up blanket.
